Font & Writing Style
Truly Handwritten
It is hard to beat the authentic appearance of a Truly Handwritten envelope. Human handwriting is distinct with many small variations in individual characters, spacing and sizing.
Have you ever tried addressing an envelope and realized that you are running out of room on the right side? So you naturally decrease the size of your characters and squeeze them together to make it fit. That is one example of a uniquely human characteristic of Truly Handwritten direct mail.
Yellow Letters Complete utilizes a large team of professional writers to write and prepare your direct mail as quickly as possible. This means we have a variety of handwriting style that will be used to complete your campaign. All writers must pass our rigorous quality control standards around consistency and legibility.
We always use a printed style of writing than a cursive style. That is more natural for the majority of people these days, so it looks as authentic as possible.
True Ink
We have a variety of 16 different fonts to use with our team of Autopen Robowriters. You pick the font that best conveys your style and brand to your prospects.
True Ink also offers cursive writing styles, which we do not offer for the Truly Handwritten envelopes and letters. Cursive offers a very professional appearance that helps your direct mail stand out compared to all the other letters in your prospect’s mail box.
Whether you choose a cursive or printed style for your direct mail, each envelope, letter, and card can be meticulously formatted to your liking. Because the spacing, sizing, and line breaks can all be formatted in software, your entire campaign can be adjusted to perfection. You don’t have to worry about squished, illegible characters because pen writing robots write to perfection.

When should I use Truly Handwritten vs True Ink?
This is a list of a few examples of when we most commonly see our clients use Truly Handwritten or True Ink writing.
Truly Handwritten
The most authentic envelope we can produce is the best way to break through to hard to reach prospects.
- Business owners or C-Suite executive. When your letter has to get past the mail room or and admin assistant to get to your recipient, your best option is to have each envelope personally hand addressed and mailed First Class.
- Commercial Property campaigns. Commercial property owners are a savvy and successful group of property owners. Some of them even use our services for their own marketing. They understand that a Truly Handwritten envelope means someone really wants to get their attention.
- Targeted lead lists. When you have a well targeted mailing list and you are really looking to maximize the response rate, the quality of your mail piece matters. The highest quality, most personal mail piece will encourage those tough to reach prospects to get in touch. Not everyone will respond to a printed envelope yellow letter or a Street View postcard. These are the calls that your competition are missing.
True Ink
True Ink is an easy and scalable way to upgrade your direct mail marketing campaign.
- Motivated Sellers direct mail campaigns. Send your yellow letter in a True Ink Envelope to make your mail stand out. The Autopen Robowriters allow you to use save money on postage so you can increase your list size.
- Cold prospect mailing list. Are you reaching out to a new market for the first time? Are you testing a new lead filter or geographic area? True Ink envelopes are the best way to maximize your ROI when you are prospecting a new list of absentee owners or mailing to probate mailings lists.
- Street View Postcards with True Ink. We can also combine True Ink real pen writing with a Street View image for the most personal appearance possible.
