There are several types of leads for real estate investing. One is Pre-Notice of Default, or Pre-NOD leads. These are people who are 30, 60 or 90 days late on their mortgage and are in a position that they need to sell the property. There are also Absentee Owner leads (someone who owns the home but does not live in it). These can be vacation homes, rental properties, or a home that is sitting vacant because the owner has moved and has not sold it yet. These leads can also be very motivated to sell. Another type of lead is a High Equity lead (also know as Free and Clear leads). These are people who have a high amount of equity in a property and may have some flexibility on selling it.
